# WIZnet Common Sub-component

This sub-component provides shared functionality for WIZnet Ethernet controllers (W5500, W6100). It covers SPI communication, MAC layer, and PHY layer common operations.

> This component is not intended for standalone use!

More controllers may be supported in the future.

## Delay Utilities

`wiznet_delay_us()` and `wiznet_delay_ms()` guarantee that execution is delayed for at least the requested duration. They compensate for FreeRTOS tick rounding and the partially elapsed current tick.
